2024 Beacon Hill Day
Monday, June 10, 2024 - All Day

On June 10th, we will be having our annual Beacon Hill Day. Members will be placed into groups for appointments with State Representatives and Senators. This is the same day that the REALTORS are on Beacon Hill too! Please join us!

  The MMBA will be:

  • Providing you with talking points and handouts for your appointments
  • Coordinating appointments with other MMBA members in your area

Schedule:

  • Breakfast & Overview (8:00 AM -9:30 AM) / UMass Club
  • Legislative Appointments (10:00 AM -4:00 PM) /State House (with REALTORS from 11 AM -Noon)

Why is this important?

So we can have a voice in upcoming legislation!

  • If your Senator or Representative has a question on mortgage legislation -does he or she know you as a resource?
  • Does your legislators understand how mortgage legislation impacts you as a mortgage professional?
  • Network with REALTORS at the State House! We will be sharing two of the same talking points.

Please participate in the Annual MMBA Beacon Hill Day!

Rebuilding Together
Tuesday, June 18, 2024 - All Day

On June 18th the MMB Foundation will once again partner with Rebuilding Together Boston (RTB) as skilled and unskilled volunteers (you!) to donate time, talent, and resources for a "hands-on" day of home repairs and renovations. This year we will be helping a homeowner with mobility issues. Ms. L has lived in her home for 30 years and we need to rebuild steps, walkways, install flooring, install a fence and do some interior painting. Together we can transform the life of a deserving homeowner by improving the safety and health of her home and revitalize the neighborhood!

How can you help?

  • Be a Building Permit Sponsor ($2,500)! Donate $2,500 and bring up to 10 volunteers to work!
  • Be a Landscape Sponsor ($1,500)! Donate $1,500 and bring up to 7 volunteers to work!
  • Be a Tool Sponsor ($1,000)! Donate $1,000 and bring up to 5 volunteers to work!
  • Be a Ladder Sponsor ($500)! Donate $500 and bring up to 2 volunteers to work!
  • Be an individual sponsor ($125) and volunteer to work!

Why should you become a sponsor?

  • It will be a project that you and your staff will never forget. We will transform this home and change her life!
  • The MMB Foundation and Rebuilding Together Boston are tax exempt under IRS section 501(c)(3).
  • Contributions to the MMBF meet the qualified investment definition under the Massachusetts Community Reinvestment Act, General Laws chapter 167, section 14 and its implementing regulations 209 CMR 46.00  and 209 CMR 54.00 et seq.
